We are just a few short days away from the 2026 Fillmore Walk-a-Thon!

This year, we’re “Chalking the Walk” for the kids!

We’ll provide the chalk and popsicles—you bring the family! Come help us decorate the sidewalks for our kiddos and get everyone excited for Walk-a-Thon week. It’s looking to be a beautiful week, and we can’t wait to celebrate all the hard work and fundraising our students have put in!

CHALK THE WALK
Tuesday, October 6th
6:00–7:30 PM

Then, come back Wednesday, October 7th, and join us for your child’s Walk-a-Thon!

Ask your child’s teacher what time their class will be walking. Family members are welcome to walk alongside their student for $5 per walker, cash at the door.

Let’s fill the sidewalks with color, encouragement, and lots of smiles as we cheer on our Fillmore kids! We can’t wait to see you!

FILLMORE WALK-A-THON UPDATE!

The packets are STARTING TO COME IN, and we are loving seeing all the fundraising happening!

Keep those donations coming! Every dollar raised through our Walk-A-Thon will go 100% directly back to Fillmore Elementary so we can continue pouring into our students and staff throughout the school year.

And we already have some competition happening… WE HAVE A TIE FOR 1ST PLACE!

Remember, you can turn in your fundraising packet anytime, or make sure it is turned in by Monday, October 5th.

Keep sharing, keep collecting, and keep those packets coming! We can’t wait to see what our Fillmore family can accomplish together! ❤️

Another fundraiser? We know! We just wrapped up our Trash Bag & Popcorn Fundraiser, but it did not go as well as it has in the past. To support our students and teacher, we decided to reintroduce the Walk-a-Thon!

When the ideas of a Walk-a-Thon was brought up at our August PTO meeting, we could NOT pass it up! We LOVE the idea of bringing our students, families and community together for a fun day while raising money for our school!

100% of the proceeds from our 2026 Fillmore Walk-a-Thon will go directly back to our school, giving us even more opportunities to pour into our students and staff throughout this school year!

What to Know:

🔴All students will be receiving a popsicle and treat bag after the completion of the walk!

🔴Each student goal is $25! Every student that raised $25 or more will receive Cardinal red sunglasses. Top grade-level fundraisers will receive a Cardinal stuffed animal.

🔴Families are welcomed to walk with students for a fee of $5 per non-student walker. Background checks required.

🔴School Goal: $3000!

We hope you will consider joining us, supporting our students and making this another incredible fundraiser for Fillmore Elementary!

Update in case there was confusion- we have paid for all the teachers and staff at Fillmore already. I’m sorry that was not more clear in the original post!

We have a special treat lined up for the staff at Fillmore! We have sponsored all the staff to receive a free drink from The Pink Straw on September 9th! We appreciate all they do and are happy to show them some love in beverage form! 😊

Hi everyone! My name is Lori McCammack. I’m the Fillmore PTO president again this year. I wanted to give a shoutout to my new officers- Brittany Pawelczyk (VP), Tifny Hoppel (Treasurer), and James Williams (Secretary) - they stepped up when I begged for help after the officers last year moved on for various reasons. 😆 They have hit the ground running! Brittany has been doing a great job with the Facebook posts and working on a possible convocation. Tifny has been amazing at taking our meeting notes and tracking our finances. James has been working on coordinating an awesome convocation for the kids. I want to publicly give them a big THANK YOU for being awesome and putting in the effort to make this year amazing for the students! I’m super excited for this year.

I also want to thank the parents that attended our first meeting. It was a really great planning meeting but much more work is to be done! I really hope the evening meetings give more parents the opportunity to be involved and have their voices/ideas heard. We can’t do it alone and we’d love to see you at the next meeting. 😊

We may have had a few empty chairs at our first meeting, BUT the parents who showed up came with ideas, energy, and a whole lot of “Let’s change things for the kids!”

We talked about new events, new traditions, more ways to bring families together, and how we can make this school year feel different in the best way possible.

👀 We saw your empty chair.
But We’re not mad.
We just hope you fill this seat next month!
