CROSS COUNTRY
REGISTRATIONS STILL OPEN!!!

The Sport of Cross Country is a competitive fall team sport. Teams consist of five or more runners who all race together against other teams. The top five finishers from each team are scored and their finishing places are added up for the team score: The lowest score wins. This is true for Invitationals. The courses are mostly run across grassy fields, wooded paths, and have a mixture of hills and some courses include creek crossings!

The beauty about cross country (abbreviated XC) is that ALL athletes compete! At races, everyone runs their division course. Throughout the season, athletes are ranked in the conference for a postseason, National team. This Elite team, gets to travel to compete against the best runners in the country.

Families may join us the month of August to register or try out the sport.

M /Tues/Thur - 6-7:15 PM at Delores Day Park (near playground) in Fillmore. Registrations will be during practices. Please arrive with water and proper running shoes.
