Last Friday, Fillmore Adult School proudly celebrated the achievements of the Class of 2026. It was an evening dedicated to recognizing the hard work, perseverance, and determination of our graduates.

A special thank you to our Fillmore Unified School District leadership team, School Board members, staff, families, and community members who joined us in recognizing this important milestone. We would also like to extend our sincere appreciation to Dr. Charles Weis for serving as our guest speaker and sharing his words of encouragement and inspiration with our graduates.

Congratulations, Class of 2026! Your dedication and determination have brought you to this moment, and we look forward to seeing all that you accomplish in the future.

Free Meals March 30 to April 2, 2026 [English/Spanish]
Fillmore Unified School District will offer free meals for all children ages 0–18 at Mountain Vista and Piru Elementary Schools from March 30 through April 2, 2026, Monday through Thursday, from 11:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Children must be present to receive a meal.
El Distrito Escolar Unificado de Fillmore ofrecerá comidas gratuitas para todos los niños de 0 a 18 años en las escuelas primarias Mountain Vista y Piru del 30 de marzo al 2 de abril de 2026, de lunes a jueves, de 11:30 a.m. a 12:00 p.m. Los niños deben estar presentes para recibir una comida.

What a great night at our 2nd Annual Job & Career Fair!
Thank you to the Fillmore Adult School team, Workforce Development Board partners for their collaboration and the support from the Fillmore Unified School District leadership team. A special shoutout to the WOW Van for being part of this event and helping connect our community to valuable resources.
We’re also grateful to the employers, community organizations, and everyone who attended, your presence created meaningful opportunities and connections for our community.
Together, we continue to open doors, build pathways, and strengthen our community’s future.

Our Annual Winter Awards Ceremony was a wonderful celebration of our students’ achievements! We honored their hard work and were inspired by speakers who shared their powerful stories of success.

Superintendent Schieferle, Assistant Superintendent Huang, and the Fillmore Adult School staff would like to wish everyone a joyful holiday season.

Classes will resume on Monday, January 12.

A Thanksgiving Message From Superintendent Schieferle

Dear FUSD Families,
As we head into a well-deserved break and holiday, I want to take a moment to express my appreciation and gratitude for your partnership and support. Each day, you play an essential role in the success of our students by ensuring they arrive at school ready to learn, and working with us to create safe, caring, and enriching school environments.

Our schools thrive because of the strong relationships between families, staff, and students. Your involvement, trust, and support make a meaningful difference in your child’s experience and in the culture of our district.

I truly believe that by working together, communicating openly, celebrating our successes, and facing our challenges as a team, FUSD will continue to be a place where students, staff, and families feel valued, respected, and inspired. I believe in us!

As I reflect on my own personal blessings this Thanksgiving, I am deeply grateful for my health, my family, and the privilege of serving the communities of Fillmore and Piru. Thank you for being such an important part of FUSD.

Wishing you and your loved ones a wonderful and restful Thanksgiving. I look forward to welcoming back students and staff on December 1.
