Navigating neurodivergence at work can raise tough questions: Should you disclose your diagnosis? How do you request accommodations? What happens when coworkers misread how you communicate? Join me and a panel of autistic professionals for an honest, practical conversation about disclosure, accommodations, managers, meetings, feedback, and the gap between how you work and how others perceive it.
Our panel will tackle common challenges, followed by an open Q&A where you can participate aloud, in the chat, or anonymously. Cameras are optional, and the session will be recorded. Whether you’re neurodivergent, supporting someone who is, or striving to be a better manager or teammate, you’re welcome here.

Should you disclose your diagnosis to your manager? How about to colleagues? How do you ask for an accommodation without making it a whole thing? What if…

In July, the Utah State Developmental Center invited me to speak to staff and other professionals dedicated to improving the lives of people with developmental disabilities. This is my presentation on Autistic Masking—what it is, why it develops, its benefits and costs, and what current research and lived experience can teach us about supporting autistic individuals in ways that promote both well-being and authentic self-expression.

Looking forward to speaking tomorrow, July 14, at the Utah State Developmental CenterUSDC) in American Fork.

I'll be presenting on Autistic Masking—what it is, why it develops, its benefits and costs, and what current research and lived experience can teach us about supporting autistic individuals in ways that promote both well-being and authentic self-expression.

I'm grateful for the opportunity to spend the morning with USDC staff and other professionals who are dedicated to improving the lives of people with developmental disabilities. I always appreciate the chance to learn from others, share ideas, and continue the conversation about evidence-based, compassionate, and neurodiversity-informed supports.
