🎲🔵 Math + Movement + a Little Friendly Competition! 🔵🎲
Our Pre-K kiddos had so much fun with this simple DIY math game today! Each student rolled a die, counted the number of spaces, and used a dot marker to move along the path toward the finish line. Tables worked together and competed to see which group could finish first!
While they were laughing and cheering each other on, they were also practicing some important early math skills — counting with one-to-one correspondence, number recognition, subitizing, taking turns, following directions, and keeping track of where they were on the game path.
I love when learning feels this much like play. ❤️
And judging by the excitement in the room, I think this one may need to make another appearance soon!
