Please read this carefully for changes around campus. Please be aware that access between the elementary school and Tiger Stadium will be restricted from morning drop-off until after the afternoon pick-up. Vehicles may not cut through the parking lot to go between Sunshine Drive and the Middle School parking lot.

Open houses are over across the District. Over the past two nights parents and students got to meet teachers at the middle school, intermediate school, elementary school and early childhood center. Classes begin on Monday. We can't wait to welcome our students for a new year.

We held the first of our open houses tonight. It was at the high school. Students got the chance to meet their teachers, walk their schedules and learn more about the high school.

Tomorrow we have two more open houses. The Intermediate School is from 5pm-7pm.
The Middle School has two times. Students with last names A-J is from 5pm-6pm. Students with the last name K-Z is from 6:30pm-7:30pm.

An exiting opportunity to work with young kids is open. The Festus/Crystal City/Dunklin/R-7 Parents As Teachers is looking for a new director. The director will ensure the implementation of the Parents As Teachers home visiting-model across the four school districts. Our new teachers wrapped up three days of new teacher orientation today. They learned about our Festus systems, PLC's, they met with their mentor teachers, and are ready to hit the ground running.
