🚑 Community Helpers Visit! 🚑

Today was an exciting day at preschool as JPAD brought an ambulance for our students to explore! Our little learners had the opportunity to meet real paramedics and learn all about the important work they do in our community. ❤️

Captain Dixon and
Paramedic Broombaugh came today and taught us:
🚨 When and how to call 911
⛑️ The importance of helmet safety
🚗 Why wearing a seat belt and sitting in a car seat in the back seat is so important
🚑 What happens when an ambulance is called and how paramedics help people in an emergency

Our students loved getting an up-close look at the ambulance and learning from some of our community’s everyday heroes! We are so thankful to JPAD and our amazing paramedics for taking the time to teach, encourage, and help keep our children safe! 💛🖤

Thank you for being our community helpers! 👏🚑

A huge thank you to the Festus Fire Department for taking the time to visit our Tiny Tigers today! 🚒

Our kiddos had an amazing time learning all about what firefighters do to keep us safe. They got to watch firefighters put in their gear (so it’s not so scary) and sing a song, learn what to do in case of a fire, and explore the fire truck!

Ms. Christina and Ms. Shelly’s class went on a leaf hunt today. They used their leaves to create beautiful artwork and build fine motor skills! 🍂 🍁 🍃

Ms. Carrie's class was learning about the letter "L" today. They used wooden sticks to form the letter, learning about the long and short line. They also talked about words that begin with the letter "L."

Tomorrow is the day! We will have plenty of staff helping and directing the flow of drop off. Please make sure you follow the directions below! ⬇️

Drop Off Times (8:30 AM & 12:45 PM)

Buses have priority-Do not block the entrance or front lanes so buses are able to enter and get parked on time.

Vehicles dropping off will need to line up. Entrance into the parking lot starts 10 minutes prior to drop off/pick up times. DO NOT enter the parking lot until a staff member directs you. If you enter prior to staff allowing entrance, you will be asked to leave the parking lot and get in line.

After the buses are finished unloading, a staff member will motion the first vehicle in line to move forward with all others following behind.

Please have your child unbuckled and ready to get out! A staff member will get your child from you and es**rt them inside the building. Stay by vehicle until a staff member comes.

You will be motioned to leave once all children are out of the drop-off zone and a new line of cars will pull forward. There will be no children in the drop-off zone while cars are in motion.
