Ferrum College 5K Color Walk/Run 2026

🎨🏃‍♂️ Ferrum College’s Nursing, Social Work, and Teacher Education programs invite you to join us for our Ferrum College 5K Color Walk/Run—raising awareness of child abuse and neglect in our community while having fun for a great cause!

✨ Event Beneficiary: Southern Virginia Child Advocacy Center, whose mission is to promote the well-being of children through prevention, education, treatment, and advocacy.

📅 Date: Saturday, November 14, 2026
📍 Location: Ferrum College, in front of Schoolfield Hall
⏰ Registration: 7:45–8:15 a.m.

Before fall break, the Junior Nursing students took a field trip to the farm on campus to practice assessment skills on the goats who are pregnant! They had the best time!! They also got to meet Dolly the calf!

We are so proud of our Junior nursing students and the growth they continue to show in clinical! From the excitement of experiencing new procedures to developing their skills and providing compassionate, patient-centered care, they continue to make Ferrum College Nursing proud. We can’t wait to see all they accomplish as they continue their journey toward becoming licensed nurses! A huge thanks to our Ferrum College Alumni LeeAnne Scarborough for preparing the next generation of nurses.

Currently, Ferrum College has a BSN program for Nursing and we are very excited to share that we are launching new nursing programs.
Associate Nursing Degree to Master's Degree program
We are also reintroducing the current Master's Degree in Nursing to include two focused tracks
In an effort to best meet the needs of our prospective students, we have developed a needs assessment survey. Please share with anyone who you know that may be interested in the programs.
