The Vaqueros begin the next leg of their trek as they head to Bishop, California for Week 1 and the second of four straight games on the road.
There’s nothing easy about life away from home, different field, different town, same standard.
The Vaqueros are packing up and taking the show on the road once again as they continue building their identity one stop at a time.

GAME WEEK IS HERE!

Week 0 has arrived, and Fernley Football is officially back! This Friday, the Vaqueros head to Damonte Ranch High School to take on the Coral Academy of Science - Reno Falcons in the Hall of Fame Game.

We’d love to see our families, alumni, students, and community come out, pack the stands, and support our guys as we kick off the 2026 season!

What an incredible first day of youth camp!

We want to extend a heartfelt THANK YOU to every player, parent, volunteer, and supporter who helped make our 2nd Annual FHS Youth Football Camp turnout a tremendous success.

The Fernley community continues to amaze us. Your support for our student-athletes and youth programs is something we never take for granted, and we are incredibly grateful to call this community home. We are also thankful for our continued partnership with the Fernley Youth Football League. Together, we’re creating opportunities for young athletes to learn the game, build confidence, and develop a lifelong love for football.

We are especially excited to share that our camp participation nearly doubled this year, growing from 56 campers in 2025 to 107 campers in 2026! Seeing so many young athletes come out with energy, excitement, and a willingness to learn is a testament to the bright future of football in Fernley.

A special recognition also goes out to our outstanding FHS Football players, who served as camp counselors throughout the camp. Their leadership, patience, enthusiasm, and willingness to invest their time into the next generation did not go unnoticed!

Was a great first day of camp. Let’s come back tomorrow and stack another brick. GO VAQUEROS!

Youth Football Camp Begins July 15!

We're excited to kick off another great Youth Football Camp on Wednesday, July 15!
- Check-In: 5:30 PM
- Camp Hours: 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM

Please make sure all camp participants arrive wearing proper athletic attire and appropriate footwear and bring plenty of water to stay hydrated.

Parking Information:

Due to ongoing campus renovations and construction, we've included a map of the campus with this post. Parking on campus is first come, first served. If campus parking is full, the dirt lot behind the baseball field will be available for overflow parking. The entrance from that lot will be unlocked to provide easy access to camp. Please note that campers and families will need to walk from the dirt lot to the camp location.

Camp Location:

Camp will be held on the grass fields near the softball field, the same location as last year's camp. The Turf Complex is unavailable during camp hours due to scheduled use by our Men's Soccer program.

Parents and family members are welcome to stay and watch. If you plan on staying, we recommend bringing a lawn chair for your comfort due to us not having accessible bleacher seating. As always we can't wait to see everyone on July 15 for three great evenings of football, learning, and fun!

From our Vaquero Football Family, we wish everyone a safe and memorable Independence Day. Whether you’re enjoying a backyard barbecue, watching fireworks, or spending time with loved ones, please celebrate responsibly and help keep our community safe.

We are grateful for all who have served and continue to serve our nation. Thank you for your sacrifice and commitment to protecting the freedoms we cherish.

For the love the game our football program is excited to announce the 2nd Annual Youth Camp put on by our very own FHS Football Players (Camp Counselors). This is a great way for our Young Men (Current players) to give back to the youth of our community / youth league in which they came up in! Thanks to some generous sponsorships this camp is free to all registered FYFL athletes. For all eligible participants, be on the lookout for the liability forms and any other sign up information available on the Youth League Website. Information regarding the camp will be shared as we get closer!

Lastly, let’s give a HUGE shoutout to the Fernley Youth Football/Cheer League and other sponsors involved for making this happen! It’s an experience that’ll last a life time!

As the school year comes to a close, we want to make sure all of our families and athletes stay informed and prepared for the upcoming season.

We have several important meeting dates scheduled for both returning players and incoming families. These meetings will cover key updates, expectations, schedules, and everything you need to know heading into summer and fall football.

Whether you’re a returning player or new to the program, attending these meetings is highly encouraged so you don’t miss any important information.
