Higher Praise Dance Academy in Detroit, Michigan, is a 501© 3, non-profit educational center whose mission is to provide youth with excellent enrichment and self-development opportunities as well as community service and outreach experience, and to provide training for youth and adults in various art forms for personal and spiritual enrichment. Higher Praise Dance Academy has been operating since

January 1997, with annual recitals since 1998. The dance academy is located inside an old Lutheran School inside Nazareth Lutheran Church. The classrooms have been renovated into dance studios. The school has a reception area with lounge, 2 studios, and 1 master studio. There is also a classroom for dance ministry school, charm school, youth workshops and tutorial lessons. A computer lab is presently being worked on for the after school programs.
