A letter from the Program Supervisor, Kenn Robinson.

"Dear Parents, Families and Friends,

Please let me introduce myself. My name is Kenn Robinson and I have been selected as the new Program Supervisor for Loving Tree School. My educational background in public K-12 education is extensive. I began teaching school in 1979 as a middle school science teacher. From there I taught Biology in high school before moving into school administration in 1986. Between then and 2012 I served as an elementary principal, middle school principal x2, and a high school principal. I completed my career as a school district central office administrator in Bellingham Schools.

I was a member of the founding team for Loving Tree School. I am very excited at this time to become the supervisor. We have a wonderful, exciting and deeply caring teachers and program of which we are intensely proud. While we are still living through the hot days of summer, fall is coming which takes me to an important announcement.

As our team started planning for this coming year, it became increasingly apparent to us that with the sudden closure of Loving Tree due to Covid, we needed additional time to prepare our classrooms and the church facility for returning students. Therefore, we have set back our opening day of school to Monday, September 13, 2021. The classrooms have been absolutely empty since we closed. We have not only our regular seasonal cleaning to do but the cleaning required to meet CDC and county health code requirements. Within the next few days you will receive a packet of information detailing the cleaning and preparations we are making. We also need to re-configure several procedural requirements regarding, masks, handwashing, adult admittance to school for the drop off and pickup of students. Again, this information will be found in the packet coming to you. Please check our website Loving Tree School at www.ucf1.org regularly.

I want to assure you that we are doing everything we can to provide the highest quality pre-school experience for your child. I can be reached at this email address if you have questions or concerns [email protected]. Shortly I expect to publish office hours and a telephone number.
