Ferndale Lighted Tractor Parade Tractors line up at 4:30pm for judging at 5pm and start parading at 6pm down Main Street. A live stream will be available on Facebook on the event page!

This page is the official page run by the Ferndale Light Tractor Parade Committee in Ferndale, CA which puts on the Annual Ferndale Lighted Tractor Parade down Ferndale Main Street on the 3rd Sunday of December. Local farmers and ranchers parade fancifully decorated tractors, tractor-drawn wagons & horse-drawn floats depicting holiday scenes down Ferndale’s Victorian Village's Historic Main Street

for a sparkling country Christmas celebration! We have extended the parade route to promote visitors to park and watch the parade from the comfort of their vehicles. For excellent viewing of the parade from your car, please show up early (starts at 6pm). The parade starts at the top of Main Street, continues down the street towards Ferndale High School, turns left on Arlington Ave & left again on 5th street! Want to become a sponsor? We are “stuffing” goodie bags for each submission and love to fill them with wonderful items from local businesses, message us if interested!

🌟 33rd Ferndale Lighted Tractor Parade – Trophy Spotlight 🌟

The Best Junior Entry (under 16 years of age) trophy is proudly named the Les Martin Memorial Trophy, generously sponsored by the family of Les Martin.

Les dedicated his life to agriculture, mentorship, and community. He began his career with Olsen Implements, once located in the Village Inn, and later went on to work for Peers Motor Sales, where he took a young kid from Honeydew under his wing. That mentorship grew into a lifelong partnership. When Alan Peers passed away, Les and that young man—Laurence Hindley—purchased the business together and renamed it The Farm Shop, where Les remained until his retirement.

Les was a wonderful family man, a kind and generous business partner, and someone who truly believed in helping the next generation find their footing. It’s only fitting that a trophy celebrating our youngest parade participants bears his name.

Thank you to the Martin family for honoring Les’s legacy and for supporting the youth who keep our agricultural traditions shining bright. 🎄🚜✨

A heartfelt thank you to Chief Ron Sligh and the Ferndale Police Department for their incredible support of the Ferndale Lighted Tractor Parade! 🚜✨

Chief Sligh regularly attends FLTP committee meetings and works closely with us to ensure safety is always paramount. He is consistently eager to help with whatever is needed, and his officers play a huge role in keeping both participants and spectators safe throughout the night.

As a friendly reminder, leaving Ferndale after the parade will take some time. We kindly ask everyone to be patient and give our officers and CERT volunteers some grace as they direct traffic safely out of town and onto Highway 211.

We are deeply grateful for the professionalism, dedication, and community-minded service of the Ferndale Police Department — parade night and every day. 💚

CERT plays a vital role in keeping everyone safe by blocking intersections, directing traffic, and responding to anything else that’s needed throughout the night. Their help allows our Ferndale Volunteer Fire Department to remain ready to respond if an emergency arises — truly a behind-the-scenes effort that makes a big difference.

We are deeply grateful for the time, training, and dedication our CERT volunteers give to our community. Ferndale is safer because of you. 💚

For 25 years, Schmidbauer Lumber has donated a FULL semi-truck load of shavings to a lucky float winner — a tradition that’s become one of the most anticipated awards of the night.

And a special shout-out to Gary Alto, who has happily delivered that truckload year after year for just as long. Familiar faces and long-standing generosity like this are what make our community so special.
