Had an epiphany not too long ago…

When my piano clients use pattern-based reading, their understanding of the music staff and ability to quickly find their way around the keyboard increases exponentially! 🤯

However…. many people including myself are great at sight reading without being shown the patterns…. why is that?! 🤔

The epiphany was realizing that for me at least, recognizing and applying the patterns was intuitive…

Always felt like sharing too much about how I work with clients on sight-reading skills was braggy because I’ve never struggled with it personally.

Buuuut… 😁 I committed to a 5-day visibility challenge this week, so I’m setting that fear aside because offering *you* a simpler, stress-free way to enjoy the instrument you love is waaay more important! 💖

Imagine being able to read and play on sight almost any piano music that someone puts in front of you! How would you feel???

I have a confession though…. sometimes I’ve secretly felt guilty for being able to play *too* well!

But there are so many people who would love to be able to sight read more accurately and confidently, and it’s actually pretty selfish to keep what I’ve discovered to myself. 😏

So this week let’s decode the often-confusing “Every Good Boy Does Fine” and transform it into split-second recognition! 💖
