I bring 20 years of experience for GUITAR, PIANO, BASS, UKULELE, and MANDOLIN to the lesson room—mixing, arranging, and performing across a variety of genres, piece arrangements, and group orchestrations. Students will learn the disciplines of a practicing musician while stepping outside the mold of tired lesson routines and into a dynamic structure of learning that supports their own unique process. Where are my Ann Arbor music learners?

James Bourland is an impeccable musician both on and off the stage, and a fantastic teacher in the lesson studio. He’s played it all. I think his perspective on blues would come most in handy for me, personally.

Give him a holler and get yourself enrolled!

I offer weekly sessions for: guitar, keyboard, drums, vocals, bass, ukulele, banjo. I've been teaching private music lessons for 16 years, and have experience in most genres of music. I'm happy to help you grow in any kind of music you'd like to learn.

One of the most used expressions in the bass community is "being inspired." This expression can only mean something if follow-through comes from it. Without follow through, "being inspired" is a cliche expression in a community of bass players that are not inspired enough to learn their instrument.

The good part about this is that everybody can follow-through and practice every single day even for a short time each day that you are able to do so. You can do it!
