Today, we proudly celebrate Registered Dietitian Nutritionist Day and recognize the incredible impact Registered Dietitian Nutritionists make in supporting healthy students, strong schools, and thriving communities.
Here in Nassau County School District Food & Nutrition Services, we are incredibly fortunate to have not just one β but TWO amazing Registered Dietitian Nutritionists leading and supporting our program every single day:
Trevor Kennedy, our FNS Director & Dr. Kaitlyn Grange
RDNs do so much more than plan menus. They help ensure meals meet USDA nutrition standards, support students with special dietary needs and food allergies, provide nutrition education, promote wellness initiatives, and guide our staff in serving meals that are both nutritious and student approved.
From behind-the-scenes menu planning and regulatory compliance to hands-on staff training and daily problem-solving, Trevor and Kaitlyn play a vital role in helping us nourish thousands of students across Nassau County each day.
Thank you for ALL you do!
