Postpartum is a season of becoming—not just a mother, but a new version of yourself. Looking back, there’s so much I wish I could whisper to my freshly postpartum self. Postpartum is raw, beautiful, and overwhelming all at once—and no one has it all figured out.

What would you tell your postpartum self?

June is Infertility Awareness Month 💙

Infertility affects 1 in 6 people, yet it’s still a topic often met with silence. Behind every statistic is a deeply personal story filled with hope, heartbreak, strength, and resilience.

This month, we honor the journeys of those navigating infertility. Every path is valid. Every feeling is real.

If you’re walking this path, please know: you are not alone. Your emotions are valid. Your story matters.

Let’s use this month to:
🤍 Raise awareness
🤍 Reduce stigma
🤍 Support those in the waiting
🤍 Educate ourselves and others
🤍 Offer compassion without assumptions

Be kind—you never know who’s quietly carrying this struggle.

ICP Awareness Day 💛
I had Intrahepatic Cholestasis of Pregnancy (ICP) with both of my pregnancies — and neither time was straightforward.

With my first, my itching started on my breasts and spread across my whole body. It wasn’t “typical,” but my amazing OB took me seriously. My first test came back negative, but he re-tested anyway — and that second test confirmed ICP. The itching was unbearable at night. I couldn’t sleep. Nothing helped. But I felt seen.

During my second pregnancy, I wasn’t so lucky at first. I switched practices and started itching in the early second trimester. I told them my history, explained how I felt — but I was brushed off. They tested once. Levels weren’t “high enough.” They didn’t want to test again.
But I knew.
So I kept pushing. And eventually, labs caught up with what my body was already screaming: I had ICP again.

I’m sharing this because ICP doesn’t always present in a textbook way. It’s not always itchy hands and feet. It’s not always obvious on the first test. And it’s not always taken seriously.

But it’s serious. It’s real. And moms deserve to be heard.

Xoxo,
Ali

If you’ve never had a NICU experience yourself, it can be hard to know how to show up for a friend who’s going through it. It’s one of those seasons that’s incredibly emotional, physically exhausting, and completely consuming. She may not have the energy to ask for help—but that doesn’t mean she doesn’t need it.💗

Here are some ways you can really support a NICU mama in your life.
