What a nice lunch we had today at the Sand Dollar on Heckscher Dr! A slightly smaller crowd of 15 classmates/spouses and one new (adorable!) mascot, Henry Green’s grandson, Justin! We sure missed all who could not attend, but the food was yummy & it was nice & cool inside! We did brave the heat for these pics, one “normal” and one showing our best personalities!
Next month we will reconvene on Tuesday Sept 15 at 12:00. We will attempt to dine at Bohemian Bull in Wildlight again, if they manage to stay open another month. Please keep your eyes & ears open if you get any info that might warrant changing locations & let me know. The address is 76030 William Burgess Blvd, Unit 1, in the shopping plaza with Publix & Grumpy’s. Hope to see you all there! 💙🏴‍☠️💛

What a fun lunch at Salt Life today!💙🏴‍☠️💛 Those of you who couldn’t make it missed a good one! We had a surprise classmate show up, Johnny Wilder! And he definitely lives up to his name! Food was great & they devoted 2 servers to us, so the service was excellent.

Next month we will gather on Thursday July 30 at 12:00noon at The Bohemian Bull near the Publix in Wildlight:

DeDe White Clemons (Class of 1973, wife of Billy Clemons) has had a stroke and is recovering in Fernandina Beach Rehab at 1625 Lime Street. She would appreciate your prayers, and a visit if you are in the area. She is in Room 184 as Deborah Clemons.

Another great get-together at Ron & Susi’s lovely home in Mandarin today! The ribs & chicken were AMAZING, Ron! It was a smaller crowd than usual, but no one left hungry & great conversations were held, and some fun “back in the day” stories were told! Always a joy spending time with the Class of ‘73! 💙🏴‍☠️💛

Next month we will gather on Thursday June 25 12:00 noon at Salt Life, 17 N Fletcher in Fernandina. Hope everyone can make it! 😎

Great gathering for lunch today, Class of ‘73! 💙🏴‍☠️💛 Cantina Louie’s did a great job, but, boy, we make a lot of noise! 😂 It sure is good to see everyone & catch up on our lives. 26 attendees this month!

Next month we will meet at Ron & Susi King’s in Mandarin on Tue May 19. Several people have agreed to drive so if you’d like to go, but don’t want to drive yourself, mention that in a message on the WhatsApp group thread. I will coordinate all the driver’s & passengers & make sure everyone gets there.

As I mentioned before, Ron is cooking up BBQ smoked chicken & St Louis Ribs! Bring a side or dessert to share. Ron says they have plenty of plates & utensils, so, if you can’t decide what to bring, reach out and we’ll see what we still need. Hope everyone can make it! It will be nice not to be confined in a restaurant again! 💙🏴‍☠️💛

Omg, Pirates of ‘73!! 💙🏴‍☠️💛 What a beautiful place we live in (or lived in at one time!). Cecil is the best pilot, so calm & knowledgeable! Everyone needs to do this at least once! Just reach out to Cecil, he loves to take people up!

What a great turnout for our Class of 73 lunch yesterday! A record 28 classmates & spouses.
We welcomed three first-timers to lunch: David Silva & his wife Ida, Larry Cook and Barbara Collins Fullwood. Any other class members who would like to join us, please let us know by commenting on the post. I will pm you and tell you how to get on the communication list.
Down Under did a great job seating & serving us and the food was great! 💙🏴‍☠️💛

Next month we will meet at Cantina Louie, 960062 Gateway Blvd, at 12:00 noon on Tuesday April 21. Hope to see you all there! ❤️
