Good morning Pound Cake Friends and Happy Fall! 🧡🤎💛

As you may have noticed, SadieCakes has been "quiet" the last few months and I wanted to give everyone an update. Sorry for the long post!

As many of you know, we own several businesses in the area, one of them being She Shore Home Watch, LLC. She Shore Home Watch is similar to property management but with the primary focus being on clients who have second homes in the area and need someone to check on and maintain their homes while they're away. We started this business back in 2017 and it has continued to grow over the years. In August, we were thrilled to acquire another local home watch company along with all their clients, making us one of the largest home watch companies in the area. We currently assist over 50 clients each month with regularly scheduled home watch visits, coordinating/scheduling repairs on the owner's behalf, project oversite, and various other tasks our clients request in their absence.

In the evenings, I spend 4-5 days each week getting Sadie back and forth to dance in south Jacksonville, while Gary is staying super busy with his home inspection business, Beacon Home Inspections of NE Florida.

Given our schedules, there has been little time to focus on SadieCakes the last few months. Normally this time of year, I would already be accepting orders for Thanksgiving and planning ahead for Christmas. I debated it for awhile whether I could do still do mass baking for the holidays, but after much thought and knowing how much time that requires, there's just not enough hours in the day to do it all.

While SadieCakes is NOT closing, I will not be baking for Thanksgiving this year. I am undecided about Christmas for now until I see what my schedule is. My thought for the future is I may be able to bake here and there for special orders and maybe some pop-ups on the weekends. So if you're wanting to order a Pound Cake, just message me and I may be able to squeeze in some orders.

SadieCakes has been my baby since 2020 and I appreciate all of your continued support as we continue to juggle it all! I will continue to post here with any updates, pop-ups, etc.
