IT'S TIME FOR A BLUE OUT!! Put on your blue and come cheer on the Spartan Volleyball team Wednesday, October 2 at 6:30 PM as they take on Ridgewater College. First 100 spectators receive a FREE Spartan blue t-shirt donated by our Spartan Boosters! See you there!!

For 45 years, Geneva Eschweiler was a musical force in Fergus Falls, where she played a leading role in organizing choral performances for the college and the community. This past Saturday evening a memorial concert service was held in Legacy Hall as a tribute to the college’s long-time choral director, who died earlier this year. Geneva was also inducted into the M State Legends Hall of Fame posthumously. Eschweiler joined the M State faculty as a voice instructor in 1962, not long after the opening of what was then Fergus Falls Community College. In 1968 she became the full-time choral director and led college and community performance groups until her retirement in 1993, when she moved to Minneapolis and opened a private voice studio in her home.

It is that time of year again - Spartan Booster fundraiser this afternoon, Friday, August 31st at Service Food in Fergus Falls 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. stop by to support the Spartans and grab a hotdog, chips and drink before you head out for the weekend - we have dinner covered for you!

This is the last week of the season for our women’s and men’s Spartan basketball teams. The games we have this week are:

Wednesday
Due to a scheduling change, it is a Men’s game only vs. Riverland at 7pm (moved up from 7:30).

Saturday
Spartan Women vs. St. Cloud Tech at 1pm
Spartan Men vs. St. Cloud Tech at 3pm

It would be great to get as many Spartan fans out to the gym as possible to support these teams. Have a great week and go Spartans!

Please join us this Saturday in the Gym to cheer on the Spartan Women and Men’s Basketball Teams as they face Ridgewater – games start at 1:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m.

There will be a variety of activities going on along with the games that you do not want to miss!

There will be a Chili Feed and Silent Auction starting at 12:00 noon to raise money for the Spartan Baseball Team as they prepare to travel to Tucson AZ to kick off their 2018 Baseball Season. The Chili Feed will be in the Cafeteria and the Silent Auction will be set up in Fireplace Lounge.

Hall of Fame Induction – Bernie and Sharon Erickson – long time Spartan Fans and Volunteers will be inducted into the Spartan Hall of Fame between the Women and Men’s BB games
A reception will be held in Fireplace Lounge after the Men’s Basketball game.

Last but not least – this is a PINK DAY, raising awareness for Breast Cancer. The Athletic Dept has graciously offered to not take gate admissions on Saturday the 3rd – a Free Will Donation box will be available for all attendees to support the Ashley Perrine (Mergens) Faculty Scholarship. The Scholarship for this Academic year has been awarded to three students on the Fergus Falls Campus, with each receiving $500.00 toward their tuition here at M State.

Again we hope you will be able to join us Saturday afternoon, Feb 3rd – it will be a great day to be with the Spartans! We appreciate your support as always.
