A huge thank you to Scouting America's Distinguished Citizen Award event honoring Mary C. Lange, held last night (Wednesday, October 7th) at the Ferdinand Community Center, for allowing Forest Park Yearbook students to serve as the official photographers for the evening.
We also want to congratulate the Scouts involved in the event — students from Southeast Dubois schools — on being part of such a meaningful occasion. Their involvement made the evening even more special.
And congratulations to Mary C. Lange on this well-deserved recognition. She has built an incredible legacy, and the Lange family's contributions to our community are truly remarkable. We're so honored to have been part of such a special event.
Congratulations, Mrs. Lange! 📸🏆

What a great day for Dubois County freshmen at the Tour of Opportunity! Students explored their career interests and connected with many community members. As the day finished up, one freshman even said today really opened up her eyes for why she wants to be a teacher someday!
Thank you to many of our local industries for opening up their doors and investing in our students.

🎉 Our Spanish classes celebrated Hispanic Heritage Month in delicious fashion! Students researched and prepared authentic dishes from across the Spanish-speaking world, then shared them at a lively food truck event. ¡Qué delicioso! 🌮🥟

We want to give a huge shoutout to our Art Club and National Honor Society students who volunteered at the Pine Ridge Fall Carnival this past Friday!
Our students did such a wonderful job putting on temporary tattoos and painting faces for the kids, while Lance Boeglin brought the fun with some amazing balloon art!
It was so much fun watching our students share their creativity, give their time, and help make the carnival a fun and memorable night for everyone. We are so proud of the way they represented our school and served their community!
Thank you to all of our amazing students for making the night so special!

✂️ Thread, needle, and a little patience! Our 7th graders in FACS are kicking off their hand-sewing projects this week. From threading a needle to tying a knot and mastering a basic stitch, these are life skills they'll carry long after the final bell rings.
