Summer camp is officially a wrap! ☀️🐴
What a summer it has been at Windwalker Farms! From riding and horsemanship to games, farm adventures, new friendships, and plenty of unforgettable moments, our campers made memories that will last long after summer ends. 🤎
We are so proud of every camper who joined us this season and watched them learn, grow, gain confidence, and experience all that life on the farm has to offer.
A huge THANK YOU to all of our campers and families for making this summer so special. We’re already looking forward to everything the next season will bring!

Behind every lesson is an instructor who brings passion, patience, and a love for horses to the arena. Amber is dedicated to helping riders grow in confidence, strengthen their horsemanship skills, and enjoy every step of their journey in the saddle.

The answer is C — 8 different kinds of animals!

And getting to meet and learn about these animals is just one of the things that makes Fall Farm School at Windwalker Farms so special!

Our 10-week Fall Farm School adventure gives students the opportunity to learn through hands-on animal care, outdoor discovery, projects, stories, and seasonal activities.

Students will meet friendly rabbits and baby goats, learn about cows, turkeys, and Pekin ducks, explore fascinating spiders and snails, and discover the sights, sounds, and smells of fall on the farm.

Each class includes an animal care portion, where students get to participate in caring for the animals and learn more about what it takes to responsibly care for the creatures that call the farm home.

But it doesn't stop with animals! Students will also explore why leaves change color, identify trees around the farm, learn about the changing seasons, and celebrate the fall harvest.

It’s learning that gets kids outside, hands-on, curious, and connected to the world around them.

Fall Farm School begins September 8th! Classes are available for ages 2.5–16 with age-appropriate activities and projects.

MORE THAN JUST RIDING LESSONS. WE’RE BUILDING RIDERS.

At Windwalker Farms, we believe riding lessons should be about more than getting on a horse once a week and learning the next skill.

Our lesson program is different.
We have developed a full riding and horsemanship curriculum designed to help students build a strong foundation, develop confidence, and progress through clearly defined milestones.

Instead of simply moving students up because they’ve been riding for a certain amount of time, we focus on whether they are truly ready for the next level.

That means:
-Students work toward specific milestones before advancing.
-We teach students why we do things, not just how to do them.
-Safety is always the priority.
-Students develop confidence before being asked to take on more challenging skills.
-Skills are introduced at the right time and at the right pace for each individual rider.
-We focus on creating independent riders who understand how to work with and communicate with their horse.
-Horsemanship is incorporated into the learning process, not treated as an afterthought.
-We meet students where they are and help them grow from there.
-Progress is based on readiness and skills, not simply age or how long they’ve been taking lessons.

Most importantly, we will never push a student into a level or skill they aren't prepared for.

We're teaching them how to become riders.

This month, we’re celebrating Joshua Wright!

Joshua has been part of the Windwalker Farms family for 8 years, and throughout that time, we’ve had the privilege of watching him grow not only as a rider, but as a horseman.

His dedication, willingness to learn, positive attitude, and great sense of humor make him such a wonderful part of our barn family. One of his proudest accomplishments has been getting to gait on Jam, a milestone he worked hard to achieve!

We’re so proud of the time and effort Joshua continues to put into his riding and horsemanship. His journey is a great reminder that progress takes patience, practice, and a willingness to keep going.

Congratulations, Joshua! We’re incredibly proud of you and can’t wait to see where your riding journey takes you next!

Everyone at Windwalker Farms has a story, and Chilli Pepper is one you'll never forget. ❤️
Known as our "Gentle Giant," Chilli has a calm heart, a kind spirit, and a special way of making riders feel safe and confident. Whether he's kicking a soccer ball around the arena, enjoying a trail ride, or patiently teaching new riders, Chilli reminds us that the best teachers don't always speak, they simply show up with patience and trust.
