West Shore Elementary & Torrey Hill Intermediate School... Get Ready for Our Blue Devil Fun Run Fundraiser!

We’re thrilled for this year’s main fundraiser with fund raised split evenly between WS, TH, and us here at the Lake Fenton PTO - West Shore & Torrey Hill: our fundraising goal is to raise $30,000 for student and school needs such as additional assemblies, playground improvements, classroom grants, educational resources, and other items that directly benefit our Blue Devils!

Why are we excited?
✅ Easy-to-use fundraising platform
✅ Character-building program
✅ Registered families will have the chance to earn some awesome rewards
✅ Fitness celebration event for every student!

Families will gather donations and points through MyBooster.com by simply sharing your student’s page with friends and family. Every share makes a difference!

Students will also enjoy 'Global Kitchen Club,' an exciting character-building adventure where they'll learn important values through recipes and activities popular around the world.

Lake Fenton Community Schools put together this School/Family Communication Guide with helpful information all in one place... including school contact information, office hours, transportation resources, district communication channels, and who to contact for specific questions!

It also includes a helpful step-by-step guide for addressing concerns - starting with your child’s teacher, followed by school administration, district administration, the Superintendent, and finally the Board of Education when necessary.

🎃 TRUNK OR TREAT NEEDS YOU! 👻

We’re looking for a parents, families, community members, or school-affiliated groups interested in taking the lead on the LF Trunk or Treat event this October for West Shore Elementary, Torrey Hill Intermediate School & Lake Fenton Early Learning Center families!

We want to be abundantly clear: the current volunteers do not have the capacity to plan and host Trunk or Treat this year. Without a group of volunteers willing to take the lead, this community event will unfortunately not happen this fall. Not forever… but just this fall particularly under the PTO umbrella.

The good news? You can make it what YOU want!

🍬 Use the PTO’s previous Trunk or Treat blueprint and build from there
🎃 Put together your own group of volunteers - you do not have to be a current PTO member
👻 Make changes, add new ideas and make the event your own
💰 With district approval, there may even be an opportunity to incorporate fundraising for a school group, club or organization

The PTO is happy to share information from previous years and help connect interested volunteers with the district, but we need people willing to take ownership of planning and running the event.

We have one BIG goal for the 2026 Blue Devil Fun Run on September 23rd:

👕 EVERY KID. EVERY SHIRT. EVERY WEST SHORE & TORREY HILL BLUE DEVIL.

We still have a limited number of sponsorship opportunities available, and you don’t have to own a business to sponsor! Families & Friends can sponsor for just $150 and have their name included on the shirts!

Have a business, work for a company, or know someone who might want to support our schools? Please share this with them! Sponsorships are available from $150–$750.

And the value goes FAR beyond providing a Fun Run shirt. Your family name, business or company gets exposure to ALL West Shore Elementary & Torrey Hill Intermediate School students, staff and families... not just one team, grade or group. Lake Fenton PTO - West Shore & Torrey Hill 2026–27 Events Calendar 📅 Fall/Winter Edition!

Here’s a look at what we have planned through the end of 2026! Our spring events and activities will be discussed and determined at upcoming PTO meetings, so there’s still plenty of opportunity for new people, new ideas and new events. 💙🤍

Our PTO meeting dates are currently TBD while we confirm schedules with administration. We’re aiming for our first meeting in mid-September or immediately following the Fun Run.

🙋 WANT TO GET INVOLVED? THERE’S A PLACE FOR YOU!

We’re looking for people to get involved at ALL levels - volunteer for an hour, join the PTO Committee, lead an activity/fundraiser/community event, or bring us something completely new!

Have an idea? We want to hear it. Our calendar isn’t set in stone for the entire school year. Spring events will be shaped at PTO meetings, and we’d love more families involved in deciding what those look like.

🏃 BLUE DEVIL FUN RUN - SEPTEMBER 23

Our largest fundraiser of the year takes place during the school day at West Shore & Torrey Hill!

Funds raised are divided equally:
• 1/3 West Shore
• 1/3 Torrey Hill
• 1/3 PTO

Those dollars go directly back to our students and schools. PTO and fundraising dollars have helped provide flexible seating, new assemblies (hello, Jim "Basketball" Jones! 🏀), soccer goals, playground upgrades, classroom additions, speakers, new headphones, and more!

👕 We’re also still looking for business and family sponsors to help us provide a FREE Fun Run shirt to every student! Sponsoring the Fun Run is a unique opportunity to reach beyond one team, sport or activity - this event includes our ENTIRE Y5–5th grade student body at West Shore & Torrey Hill and their families. That’s a HUGE reach across Lake Fenton families while directly supporting our schools and students!

DRIVE FOR YOUR COMMUNITY- THIS THURSDAY!💙

We’re teaming up with Ford to give back right here in our community. Join us at Lake Fenton High School this Thursday, August 13, from 1–7 PM for Ford’s Drive for Your Community event!

For every test drive taken, Ford will donate $30 to Lake Fenton High School, up to $6,000! That means your test drive can directly support local students and our community. 🙌

And that’s not all… we’re also kicking off our Ford Building Together Global Food Drive! 🌎🥫

🛒 Bring a non-perishable food item with you and help us fill a Ford with food to support local food banks and pantries.
