Thanks to Wonders of Learning, our first few weeks of school have been filled with learning all about ourselves, our friends, and our families!

We’ve had so much fun discovering the things that make each of us unique, celebrating our differences, and learning what makes our classroom community so special. It has been a wonderful start to the school year, and we can’t wait to see where our learning takes us next!

Kindergarten readiness can show up in everyday moments, not just big milestones. A few signals to notice:

1. They’re building confidence to try things independently. Examples: walking into a room first, asking for help, or giving something new a try.

2. They’re starting to recognize the letters in their name, even if they’re not reading just yet.

3. They’re showing care and responsibility at home. This could include things like helping pack a bag, feeding a pet, putting away toys, or getting through part of their routine with a little more ease.

Every child grows at their own pace - and readiness looks different for every family. Their preschool teachers can be a great partner in noticing strengths, celebrating progress, and helping you think through what comes next.

✨📚This week our preschool classes have been busy strengthening their handwriting, building sentences, developing early math skills, and exploring the five senses with interactive games and engaging lessons.
They're also building important kindergarten readiness skills by organizing their own work, following classroom routines, and developing independence and responsibility!

This week, we’ve been exploring the question, “What can I invent?” 🧠🎨🕵️‍♀️

Our Pre-K classes put their creativity and problem-solving skills to work as they designed and built some amazing inventions! They experimented with different ingredients to create the perfect sticky slime, invented exciting car roller coasters using recycled tubes, and even built their own workshop using toy tools, hammers, and styrofoam for some hands-on construction.

We had a special visit from Ms. Libby’s music class this week AND enjoyed our first sensory day of the summer!!
