More than skills, more than education, it’s about building community!
During our Midwifery Skills Test-Out Week at Southwest Wisconsin Technical College, we shared a beautiful luncheon and meet-and-greet afternoon, bringing together students, faculty, staff, administrators, midwives, and community members.
It was a special time to connect, share our journeys, exchange words of wisdom and encouragement, and celebrate the relationships that make our midwifery community so extraordinary.
We also celebrated our Midwives Market, founded by Shiprah, Midwife Shiphrah Satx, a former SWTC student and now practicing midwife! This wonderful initiative creates space for student midwives, practicing midwives, and community members to showcase their talents, handmade goods, products, and services while connecting with our cohorts and the larger SWTC community.
These moments remind us that midwifery is so much more than a profession. It is about mentorship, connection, collaboration, and lifting one another up.
Thank you SWTC, Southwest Tech for providing a space where learning, community, and meaningful connections come together. We are so grateful for the people who make these moments possible! 💙
