This week, our members had the opportunity to attend the 97th Wisconsin State FFA Convention! Fennimore FFA had many members recognized for their hard work and accomplishments throughout the year.
Day 1,
We kicked off the First General Session with Kenzy Everson participating in the Flag Ceremony. We also had two Proficiency Award finalists: Reid Stalsberg and Matthew Winch. Reid earned 2nd place in Vegetable Production, while Matthew was named the State Winner in Dairy Production. During the final session of the day, Bree Stalsberg was recognized for placing 3rd in the Middle School Essay Competition. Our Middle School Quiz Bowl Team also earned 3rd place in their competition. In addition, the Fennimore Agronomy Team was recognized on stage for earning 1st place and qualifying for nationals!
Day 2,
On the second day, five Fennimore members competed in the High School Quiz Bowl and narrowly missed qualifying for the Top 4. Many of our students, alongside members of Dodgeville FFA, helped run the FFA Buck Auction. Fennimore was also proud to celebrate three State Degree recipients this year: Keely Everson, Eden Richter, and Dalton Linneman. These members earned the highest degree awarded by the Wisconsin FFA Association through years of dedication to their SAE programs. After the final session, members enjoyed attending the convention dance.
Day 3,
On the final day, Fennimore FFA was recognized with a Silver Rating for our National Chapter Award Application. We were also recognized for our Food For America program. Former Fennimore FFA President Eden Richter was also recognized for her outstanding service, earning the prestigious 3 Star Leader Award. Throughout the convention, the State FFA Band provided music for the sessions, and Fennimore FFA member Dalton Linneman did an outstanding job as a percussionist.
This is a great way for members from across the state to come together, recognize each others achievements and make new connections! We can't wait for next year!
