Come join us as we celebrate the accomplishments of our seniors and our kids! This year we took 1st place in multiple categories and the most important one being the academic achievement award for best overall team GPA! Our Lumana’i kids have worked their butts off this year, so come and join us as we celebrate this Saturday evening!

Thank you to our 3 beautiful judges of our 3rd Annual Tausala Pageant Tepora Salanoa, Lorenza Fetui and Trixy Petaia! Last nights competition was difficult night for these ladies, a lot of talent was displayed on the dance floor, we appreciate your wisdom, love and support. Thank you for helping us find our new Miss Lumana’i O Le Pasefika 2019, Felila Tauiliili-Tunupopo! Congratulations to all of our beautiful ladies!!! Meet Uncle Ray...Head choreographer and Instructor! Uncle Ray has many talents, singing, dance, and playing multiple instruments is just a few. But his most important role is being a spiritual leader to all of our youth. Lumana’i is a second ministry for uncle Ray and as a pastor he not only prepares us for the dance floor, he also prepares us for life! We are so blessed to have uncle Ray for 5 years and we hope to continue to grown and learn under his leadership. @ Federal Way High School

Meet Mane Tuia’ana. Mane Tuia’ana serves as our Director of Operations. Mane has worked with Federal Way High School Pacific Islanders Club since 2011 and even graduated from FWHS in 2009. Mane has worked tirelessly advocating for Pacific Islander youth and has been a key factor in the Increase of the graduation rates for The Pacific Islander students at Federal Way High School. Mane is very passionate about the art of Siva Samoa and loves to dance and instruct. Currently Mane works as the program youth coordinator for the Asia Pacific Cultural Center and is now expanding his PI outreach in the Tacoma School District. Mane also currently oversees the overall oppressions of Le Lumanai O Le Pasefika and he is excited to be back for competition season!

Meet our new advisor Ms. V aka Aunty Ivo. Aunty Ivo has been a Paraeducator at Federal Way High School for three years. She has also served as a volleyball coach for Decatur High School and has even volunteered with our Pacific Islanders Club since 2017-2018 school year. Aunty Ivo has a big heart and dedicates her time to improving the lives of our young Pacific Islanders by giving them academic support during and after school and also ensuring Lumana’i has a safe space where everyone feels welcome and loved! We are so blessed to have Aunty Ivo and we look forward to her leadership!
