Khalsa Gurmat School Khalsa Gurmat School is a volunteer run non-profit organization to provide education, empowerment and civic engagement for kids and community members

Since 2006, the dedicated teachers and administration of Khalsa Gurmat School have served children and their families in the Seattle region of the State of Washington. Our school began with a belief that we need to come together as a community to nurture every child and ensure that they lead an inspired life rooted in the values enshrined in Guru Granth Sahib Ji. This required a partnership of families, teachers and administrators working together to create an environment that fosters learning and growth.

It might look like a colorful mess, but our kindergartners are hard at work building their brains, friendships, and confidence through play. When these little builders connect LEGO bricks in the classroom, they are doing so much more than just stacking pieces!

Registration for the Sunday school will close for our 2026-27 session next Sunday, September 27, 2026.

"Creativity is intelligence having fun." — Albert Einstein

Our students are so excited to show off the unique puppets they’ve been working on. Watching them beam with pride as they introduce their new creations is pure magic. It is fantastic to see them practice storytelling and bring their big ideas to life through creative expression.

What an incredible few days of inspiration and learning Gurmat Sangeet!

We are still buzzing from the energy at our Kirtan and Tabla Camp. A huge, heartfelt thank you to our amazing attendees for bringing such dedication and passion to every session. Seeing the next generation of kirtaniyas immerse themselves in traditional music was truly a blessing.

Thank you to everyone who made this experience so memorable. May the love of Gurbani continue to grow in our hearts.
