Federal Way Public Schools AmeriCorps The FWPS AmeriCorps Program is a national service program that provides academic tutoring for students attending public school in the greater Seattle area.

Our program works to strengthen the Federal Way community through academic tutoring and modeling an ethic of service. AmeriCorps members serve full time in the Federal Way Public Schools district. In addition to tutoring students and supporting before and after-school programs, members manage a community tutoring program, and serve in local service projects. AmeriCorps members also recruit and tra

in community volunteers. Each year we serve over 5,000 students. Our district contains over 23,000 students. We serve in 22 Elementary Schools, 7 Middle Schools, and 5 High Schools.

Our members showed up and showed out and more importantly got to see the important work the folks at the MSC do day in and day out serving over 2000 families a week!
