We've created our page to be an informal, quick information source about our school and district. We welcome your participation and look forward to interacting with you here. We want the experience to be as positive as possible for all of us. So here are some simple and, we think, fair guidelines for participation.

2. This page is about the Federal Way school district and supporting our scholars and staff; so let’s keep the conversation focused on that. Business plugs, personal issues, and political banter all have a place on Facebook–just not on this particular page.

Don't let absences add up!
Just 2 absences every month adds up to 20 school days! Students who miss 10% or 18 days, in a school year are at risk of falling behind academically.

Here are 3 simple tips to help you and your child get ready for school every day: 1. Set your alarm, leaving extra time for unexpected delays, 2. Lay out clothing and supplies for the next day, 3. Make sure your transportation plan is in order.

September is Attendance Awareness Month! This year, Federal Way Public Schools is celebrating the theme: Your Presence Matters.

Consistent daily attendance is one of the most important steps to academic success. When scholars are in class every day, they build strong foundational skills, stay on track with their learning, and gain confidence.

You can help your student succeed by taking a few simple steps:
⏰ Set a regular routine. Keep a consistent bedtime and morning schedule.
🎒 Prepare the night before. Lay out clothes and pack backpacks in advance.
🤝 Stay connected. Reach out to your school directly if your family faces challenges getting to class. We are here to help.
