We had such a wonderful evening at Powellswood last night. Thank you to Matt Hedlund of Wanderlust Nursery for teaching us so much about rare Fuchsias. Matt even brought beautiful plants to sell! The Fuchsia Garden Shuttle starts boarding at noon today! If you purchased tickets for the Rare Fuchsia Talk & Sale with Matt Hedlund of Wanderlust Nursery at 5 p.m., and wish to see the fuchsias, be sure to arrive early. The fuchsia garden follows regular garden hours and will close at 4 p.m. To get there, you can board the Fuchsia Shuttle or take a short trek through the woods. Our next shuttle date is Saturday, September 12.

Save the date for a special morning on September 16 with renowned birding guide, Kevin Burke. For 20 years, Kevin has led tours across the United States, Costa Rica, Ecuador, and the Dominican Republic, sharing not only expertise but also an infectious enthusiasm that connects people to nature.

Tickets are on sale now at $20 or $15 for PowellsWood members. Capacity is limited, so register early if you plan to attend. Details at powellswood.org/events.

Since our fuchsia garden is a little "off the beaten path," we're providing a shuttle service on select dates for guests who aren't up for a taking a trek through the woods. NOTE: If you plan to attend one of our ticketed after-hours programs and would like to see the fuchsias, be sure to visit beforehand.
