I had no idea what it meant to be seen

Not really

I knew how to be visible, that wasn’t the issue.

I could show up in the room, play the part, say what needed to be said. But the truth is, I was only bringing about 50% of myself. The rest? Guarded. Protected. Hidden behind a smile and a role I’d mastered.

Because deep down, I didn’t feel safe.

I had built walls so high around my heart that no one could really reach me. I told myself that was strength that it was leadership.

But it was fear.

Fear of being misunderstood.
Fear of being too much.
Fear that if I let people get close, they’d find something unlovable.

So I stayed visible but I wasn’t actually seen.

I was so good at performing that even I forgot there was more of me waiting to be brought to the table.

But life has a way of inviting us to break our own patterns. The kind of invitation that comes disguised as disruption, discomfort, or heartbreak.

That’s exactly what it took for me. I reached a point where hiding (even in plain sight) felt more painful than being exposed.

So I made a decision: I would stop performing and start showing up. Unfiltered. Unmasked. Whole.

If I hadn’t spent so many years learning how to shrink myself to feel safe…I wouldn’t now know how to hold space for women ready to expand into their fullness.

If I hadn’t wrestled with being unseen…I wouldn’t be able to recognize that same ache in the eyes of the clients I serve.

If I hadn’t gone through my own unraveling…I wouldn’t have the depth I now bring into every session, every room, every story I share.

This is why I do the work I do. Because I know what it costs to live behind a mask and I know what it frees up when you finally take it off.
