CDHS is committed to preparing as many people as possible to enter into the highly sought after and profitable career field of IT and Cybersecurity. The opportunity to expand our reach is made possible through partnership building efforts like today. CDHS hosted Mrs. Tamara Hodge, Compliance Monitor, with the Mid-Carolina Workforce Development Board. Through the Workforce Innovative Opportunity Act (WIOA) Program, CDHS will be able to train more North Carolinians in IT/Cybersecurity and participants will have this specialized training completely paid for so that they can immediately apply to positions starting at $70K and up.

Be on the lookout because incredible things are on the horizon for CDHS!

Great visit today at Fort Bragg between FSU Center for Defense and Homeland Security and NCWorks!

CDHS Program Associate, Jerone Gray(1), and Cybersecurity Recruiter, Mose Harris IV(4), had the opportunity to meet with Chester “Tony” Lambert(3) and Jeffrey Bell(2) to discuss exciting partnership opportunities. Our shared goal: connecting veterans to meaningful career pathways through our Cybersecurity Academy, equipping individuals from the ground up with the skills needed to fill critical IT and cybersecurity roles.

We’re especially excited about the potential to collaborate with the Ft. Bragg NCWorks Career Center located within the Soldier Support Center. Their goal is to assist veterans with finding jobs, building skills, and connecting them with employers.

CDHS is looking forward to strengthening these connections and continuing to support those who have served by opening doors to high-demand careers in cybersecurity.
