CORD Employee Spotlight🌟
Meet Lana Qedan, Tutor, and a Nursing major!

Campus Involvement
“I am the founder and the president of an RSO on campus called H.O.P.E., a part of the Honors College Ambassadors, and in the Honors College!”

How long have you worked at the CORD?
“This is my second semester!”

Favorite class you’ve ever taken & why?
“My favorite class that I have taken so far (and currently in) is Pathophysiology and Pharmacology I! It's my favorite because it is one of the first real classes I have gotten to take related to my major, and is something that I will get to use in my future career!”

What is your best advice for students?
“Take "failures" or something negative and spin it in a positive light. You learn from everything you experience, and even though it isn't the most ideal situation, it is teaching you something, and it can help you succeed in the future!”

What is your favorite spot on campus?
“My favorite spot on campus is the student lounge in the EPLEY Center for Health Professions Building (The Nursing Building!)”

How does your work support students?
“I tutor students in various science courses like Biology, Microbiology, Anatomy, Physiology, and Chemistry, and a lot of the students I see are pre-nursing students. I get to connect with them on a different level, since I have been in their position before and am able to provide tips and support from a nursing student perspective!”

What do you like best about working at the CORD?
“I love all of the friendships I have made at the CORD! I work with some of the best people ever, and have the most amazing support staff in my bosses and GAs!”
