What a wonderful way to kick off the first day of school!

A huge THANK YOU to students from Fayetteville State University Athletics and the Epsilon Zeta Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. at Fayetteville State University for joining us bright and early this morning to welcome our Knight scholars!

Your smiles, energy, encouragement, and presence helped make our scholars’ first moments back at Warrenwood extra special. We are so grateful for your continued partnership and support of our school community.

Please help us welcome Mr. John Blaine to Knight Nation! Mr. Blaine will be joining our custodial team as our Second-in-Command Custodian, and we are excited to have him at Warrenwood!

Knight Nation, our buses will be back on the road
Monday morning transporting our scholars!

As we begin the new school year, please take a moment to study this North Carolina School Bus Stop Law diagram and refresh yourself on when motorists are required to stop.

The safety of our scholars is paramount. Please leave home with plenty of time, slow down around school buses and bus stops, and never let being in a rush lead to an unsafe decision.

Let’s all do our part to keep our Knight scholars safe on the way to and from Warrenwood!

Lights! Camera! Welcome Back, Knight Nation!

What an amazing Open House! It was wonderful seeing our halls filled once again with smiling scholars, excited families, hugs, laughter, and so much energy for the year ahead.

Today was the perfect way to kick off the 2026–2027 school year. We are so excited for another year of learning, growing, and making dreams come true! Thank you to all of our families who joined us.

Families, please bring your scholar’s bookbag to Open House so that we can properly tag it for dismissal. This helps us make sure everyone gets where they need to go safely and smoothly!

Warrenwood Elementary would like to extend a heartfelt THANK YOU to the Department of Adult Correction Community Supervision District 12 for their generous donation of school supplies for our scholars!

We would especially like to recognize and thank Chief Davis and Chief Russell for their support, generosity, and commitment to helping our scholars begin the school year prepared for success.

We are incredibly grateful for community partners who continue to pour into our school and show our scholars that their community is cheering them on. Your kindness truly makes a difference!

Please help us welcome Ms. Dymond Carey to Knight Nation! Ms. Carey will be joining our Exceptional Children’s Department as a Self-Contained EC Teacher, and we are excited to have her at Warrenwood!

🎬✨ LIGHTS, CAMERA, ACTION… KNIGHT NATION IS BACK! ✨🎬

What a FANTASTIC first day back for our Warrenwood cast! The red carpet was rolled out, the cameras were ready, and our staff showed up prepared to make the 2026–2027 school year a blockbuster!

We kicked off our premiere with time to mix, mingle, reconnect, and welcome one another, followed by greetings from Ms. Stone, our Assistant Principal and Ms. Collier, our Teacher of the Year. Then, Ms. Jones, our Principal took center stage for our State of the School Address, setting the vision for the year ahead and reminding us of the incredible work we are ready to accomplish together.

Throughout the day, our cast:

⭐ Walked the Warrenwood Red Carpet and captured plenty of photos worthy of the Walk of Fame!
⭐Recognized our “of the year” staff, our new staff orientation scavenger hunt winners, and recognize staff who went above and beyond this summer!
⭐ Reviewed our data with Mr. Ron Phipps and celebrated our gains
⭐ Heard from Dr. Harvey about the importance of exceptional customer service
⭐ Enjoyed a delicious lunch provided by Kinlaw’s Welcome Grill.
⭐ Completed our annual OSHA training, because every great production puts safety first!
⭐ Heard from our staff leaders and Correlate Chairs, who shared how their teams will help bring our School Improvement Plan to life.
⭐Were showered with survival gifts and giveaways to help us make it through the season!
⭐ Participated in raffles and celebrated our Hollywood Gala Best Dressed winner—our very own School Counselor, Ms. Seals

And perhaps the BEST surprise of the day… Our business wrapped early so our cast could spend the final two hours working in their classrooms and office spaces, because we know getting ready for our scholars is where the real movie magic happens!

The energy, laughter, excitement, and anticipation throughout the building reminded us that this is going to be a FANTASTIC year at Warrenwood!
