As we wrap up Native American Heritage Month, we want to highlight the beautiful moments from Tuesday’s assembly. This year, we were honored to welcome our First Annual Miss Seabrook’s family, who shared their culture with our students. She and her brother took the stage to perform traditional dances, and their confidence and pride made the experience even more meaningful.
We were also excited to welcome back one of our former Bobcats, who performed for our students and helped them better understand the history and purpose behind each dance.
Students experienced a variety of powwow dance styles, as well as the Ehsganye, the Women’s Shuffle Dance of the Tuscarora Indians of the Kahtenuaka Territories. The visit also included a special appearance by Teen Miss Indigenous NC, Madison Strickland.
We are incredibly grateful to the dancers and families who shared their traditions, stories, and talents with our school community. Their visit helped our students end the month with a deeper appreciation for Native American heritage. ❤️

These photos perfectly capture the joy we get to share with one another at JW Seabrook. One of our amazing staff members volunteered her time to make these Thanksgiving shirts for our team,
Watching everyone try to pose, crack up, and just enjoy being together reminded us how lucky we are to have a school family that shows up for each other in big and small ways.
Thank you to the staff member who put her time and creativity into making these shirts.
Happy almost Thanksgiving from our JW Seabrook family to yours! 🦃❤️

Huge shoutout to our hospitality team for treating us to the most amazing apple cider bar last week! The mini chocolate chip muffins, donuts, and warm apple cider were such a thoughtful surprise and absolutely delicious.
Thank you for making our staff feel appreciated and supported. We are so grateful for everything you do! 🍎✨
Reminder, JW Seabrook families!
Just a quick note that there will be no school this Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday. We hope all of our students and families enjoy the long break and come back rested and ready to learn!
Please share to help spread the word! 😊

✨ Huge congratulations to our First Annual 2025–2026 Little Miss JW Seabrook and Miss JW Seabrook! ✨
Tonight was truly unforgettable. Watching each child step onto that stage with a mix of excitement and bravery was such a powerful moment. They showed heart, confidence, and so much personality, and it was impossible not to feel emotional seeing how proud they were of themselves.
A special congratulations to our winners and runner-ups. You shined so brightly, and we are incredibly proud of the way you represented yourselves. At the same time, we want to celebrate every single participant who stepped on that stage. Whether you took home a title or not, you brought something unique and beautiful to this event.
We also want to give a heartfelt thank you to our visiting queens for taking the stage with us tonight. Your presence added excitement and inspiration, and the students absolutely loved having you there.
Thank you to all the families, staff, and friends who came out to cheer them on. Your support means more than you know. 💙

Today our second graders had the best time exploring the Asheboro Zoo.🐘
They were so excited to learn about the animals, ask thoughtful questions, and see their classroom learning come to life.
A huge thank you to our amazing parents, staff, and chaperones for being diligent, supportive, and patient throughout the trip. We could not have done this without you, and we appreciate the care you put into making the day safe and memorable for our students.💙
This field trip was made possible by the NC Department of Natural and Cultural Resources Learning Happens Here Field Trip Fund.
