Congratulations to Knox Warren in first grade and Jhayla Hampton in second grade who earned August’s Perfect Attendance Awards! Their commitment to being present each day sets an outstanding example for all of our Tigers and shows the importance of showing up ready to learn. Keep up the great work, Knox and Jhayla!

Thanks to a $10,000 grant from Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA), in partnership with Fayetteville Public Utilities (FPU), Inchy's Bookworm Vending Machine has been installed at Ralph Askins School. The vending machine is the first of its kind, allowing students to earn golden tokens for books as a reward for positive behavior. The grant was awarded as part of the School Uplift program designed to assist schools in making smart energy choices that improve the classroom learning environment and save money through decreased energy use.

Today was a special day at RAS as hundreds of grandparents joined us to spend time with their grandchildren, creating keepsake photo frames together. Thank you to all the wonderful grandparents who visited us today and helped “frame a memory” during our annual Grandparents Day celebration.

RAS loves our bus drivers! Our Tigers made sure our bus drivers felt extra special this morning in celebration of Bus Driver Appreciation Day. Students greeted them with handwritten notes of appreciation, colorful posters, cards and special gifts to say “thank you” for all they do each and every day.
