This week The University of Arkansas and IFC are bringing awareness to mental health through their initiative, Razorbacks Reach Out.
Here are the facts:
Nearly 1 in 10 men experience depression and anxiety: According to a poll of 21,000 American men by researchers at the National Center for Health Statistics (NCHS), nearly one in ten men reported experiencing some form of depression or anxiety, but less than half sought treatment.
Men die by su***de 3.5x more often than women: Men experience a higher rate of su***de than women. Depression, when left untreated, can in some cases reach a crisis point of suicidal contemplation. With so few men reaching out for help or support, and instead suffering in silence, this may be one reason why men face a higher su***de rate.
It’s time to change these statistics and start being there for one another. Let's stand together in unity and acknowledge that

🍉Watermelon Bust 2022🏆
Last week we had the pleasure of hosting this year's Watermelon Bust and it was a massive success!
In partnership with many chapters, we were able to collect over 20,000 canned food items to donate to our philanthropy
This was a record-setting year and we couldn’t have done it without everyone’s help and support! And a huge shoutout to the lovely ladies of for being crowned this years champion!

This week is University of Arkansas’ week, sexual assault awareness.
Sexual Assault and Sexual Violence are real issues facing college campuses across the nation. The U of A Greek Community understands that and is actively looking to change campus climate and culture through our annual It’s On Us Week.
During this week there will be various events that chapters can showcase there support at. As well as educational programs, and providing opportunities for everyone to learn more about It’s On Us Week and how we can best prevent sexual assault and sexual violence.
Here at Lambda Chi Alpha we do not condone, tolerate or allow any form of sexual misconduct. We are committed to educating members as well as the community to help change the culture and climate in greek life and nationally.
