🧦🍕🎬 Fun Fridays at the Social Studio! 🍿🎟️
The last two Fridays have been full of fun, connection, and opportunities to practice skills in ways that feel natural and FUN! 🫶🏻
🧦 Last Last Friday: Sock & Pizza Party!
Our learners enjoyed showing off their fun socks, sharing pizza, spending time with peers, and practicing social skills together.
🎬 Last Friday: EMG Movie Day!
Our team transformed the Social Studio into our very own movie theater—complete with tickets, assigned seating, EMG money, and a concession stand! 🍿🌭🥤
Learners had two viewing options:
🎥 Inside Out: focused on identifying emotions, understanding feelings, and encouraging discussion.
🎥 An autistic adult’s personal testimonial: giving our advanced learners the opportunity to hear firsthand about another person’s experiences, challenges, and growth while exploring similarities and different perspectives.
These experiences may look like “just fun,” but they create meaningful opportunities to practice making choices, purchasing, waiting, social participation, communication, flexibility, and independence in real-life situations.
A HUGE thank you to our team and everyone who helped plan, prepare, and participate in making both Fridays so special for our learners!
