Really neat, large chunks of cane impressed daub coming out of some of the features that we are excavating. Good thing our trowels are sharp, and we have our excavation tools organized!

We had members of Quapaw Nation come out to help with excavations and to present about Quapaw History at our Open House Day. We love getting to work with so many great people and getting to learn from and spread knowledge to each other and the community in which we are working each year during the Training Program.

The second week of the Training Program in Archeology is starting out strong recording the many features in the plaza excavation! If you aren't signed up to participate, you can still visit Plum Bayou Mounds Archeological State Park and see the excavations if you come out while we are working.
