Thank you for your interest in hosting an Empower Hour! Damsels in Defense is about equipping women with the tools to not only keep them safe but also to give them the confidence to know that they have a way out if they ever feel threatened. Whether you are home or traveling, running or celebrating with the girls, Damsels in Defense has the products and fact-based education that can and does save lives. We are very excited about our affordable and dependable line of products.

I am blessed and have the advantage to utilize the skills and knowledge of my husband Mark Bastin along with the products. Mark currently holds a 4th degree black belt in Kenpo Karate Jujitsu. His passion to train and perfect these skills began over 20 years ago. He is a certified instructor and continually trains to consistenly improve his skills in several different disciplines including: Pressure Point techniques, Combat Knife training, and Tactical Handgun. Mark is passionate about empowering women to stand up and defend yourself in the unfortunate case of an assault. He has invested many hours in the pursuit of self-defense, studying with top professionals in their field. It is our hope that we can help prepared women and lower the statics of 1 in 6 women being assaulted in their life time.
