Northwest Arkansas' premier independent school serving one-year-olds through high school.

In 1971, The New School opened in Fayetteville, Arkansas as a non-profit organization with 24 students age three to six. Today, the independent school has more than 400 students from one-year-olds in the preschool through the 12th grade. Over the years, the school has seen substantial growth, in both the program and the leadership, but the philosophy and mission of the school have stayed very much

Congratulations to rising TNS seniors Ben and Richard for attending Arkansas Boys State 2026! During the week-long leadership and civic engagement program, students from across Arkansas gained hands-on experience in government, public service, and democratic citizenship. As an additional honor, Ben was elected by his peers to serve as City Council Position Three for Sherwood City. Way to represent TNS, Ben and Richard!

A little Field Day throwback because we’re already missing these smiles. ☀️💙

What better way to close out the school year than a day full of fun, laughter, and memories with friends? Summer break is here, but these moments will stick with us all season long.

Caps were tossed, tassels were turned, and the TNS Class of 2026 officially crossed the stage. 🎓✨

Our commencement ceremony was a beautiful celebration of hard work, memories, and the incredible students these seniors have become. We are so proud of each graduate and all they have accomplished at TNS. You will always have a home here, Cougars.

From Florida orange juice to Louisiana beignets, our 4th Grade State Fair was a celebration of learning, creativity, and fun! 🌎⭐

After researching their assigned states, students brought their projects to life by presenting informational boards, videos, and unique treats or items that represented each state. It was such a fun way to explore the diversity, culture, and traditions that make every state special. Great job, 4th grade!
