The Fayetteville Public Education Foundation provides our students with extraordinary educational opportunities by fostering strategic partnerships and investing in innovative programs championed by our educators. Projects with the greatest consideration for funding should be original, pioneering or innovative, academically enrich the students’ experience in education.

One school, one book, one shared love of reading. Amanda Bunch's Soaring Through Stories grant, funded by the Fred J. Brunner Foundation, brings students together through a common read, followed by crafts and family events that bring the story to life in their own unique way — building reading comprehension and a lasting love for reading across the whole community.

Jason Marshall's Jazz Connects Us grant is putting that belief on full display with custom band stand fronts that celebrate the values that define Fayetteville Public Schools. New books, new words, new love for reading. Rebecca Mays' Read Aloud, Grow Together grant provided by the Fred J. Brunner Foundation puts a cart full of fresh titles in the hands of K-4 teachers, bringing monthly themed read-alouds to classrooms across the school. Each book is one students have never seen before, sparking curiosity and building vocabulary one story at a time. Because the joy of reading starts with that first great story.
