I had a summer job every summer starting in high school, not counting the babysitting jobs prior to high school.

I worked as a(n):

🟢 foot press operator in a jewelry factory.

🟢 assembler in a factory manufacturing electric plugs.

🟢 teacher's aide for a teacher living in my neighborhood.

🟢 papergirl helping my brother deliver papers on his paper route.

🟢 emergency room helper delivering xrays, moving patients, running errands.

🟢 summer camp counselor for a local organization.

🟢 advisor for Upward Bound during the summer.

🟢 mail sorter for the Post Office.

I learned communication skills, problem-solving, working as a team, critical thinking, time management, money management, responsibility, and more from each of these jobs. All of these transferable skills are with me today.

What are teens in your life doing this summer?
