Love this! As a public school teacher for many years, I'm thrilled when I connect with former students.

Love this for Fayetteville State University students! As an Independent Educational Consultant, I visit 15 - 20 colleges annually and this option is very popular with students nationwide.

Bravo Broncos! And, yes, it will be open to the public.

The Shoe is almost here. Fayetteville State's new outdoor gathering space will feature up to six food trucks. See link below ⬇️

I love the advice my fellow board members and I got to share with you now that the is opened for the Class of 2027.

What advice would you add?

Patience, perseverance, research, and more patience. I encourage students to try new things and pay attention to the lessons learned.

I decided last year to try my hand at gardening. This year's harvest was so-so due to the disrespectful heat and drought conditions.

Last year, all of my watermelons developed blossom end rot, so I researched how to prevent that. I learned about CalMag, fish emulsion, and other fertilizers.

This year, we had mixed results and I'm ecstatic about the first one that made it this season!

The essay I could write about all of the lessons learned! What lessons have you learned from an endeavor that tried your patience? What did you learn about your values? How will you use those lessons in your college community?

Watch the video in the comments of me cutting my first harvested watermelon 🍉.

What are you celebrating today?

I'm celebrating the opportunity I had to be a faculty member at the 2026 Summer Training Institute.

It was truly a glorious and intense week of learning and building community.
