Fayetteville Academy Parents and Students:
• This Friday, February 21 will be a regular class day, rather than the previously scheduled "Faculty Work Day;"
• We will extend instructional time during each class day until 3:55 p.m., on each of the following days: February 24, 25, 26, 27, 28, March 3, and March 5 (*note that March 4 will be a regularly scheduled day*). This will give us seven days of 45 extra minutes each and will have the net effect of making up one additional day. For the Upper and Middle Schools each of those days will have one of our Periods scheduled in the extra time so one class will meet twice on each of those days. For the Lower School, the time will be used on extra time for the students' core subjects;
• We will have a regular class day on Friday, April 18, rather than the previously scheduled day off;
Additional follow-up information may be forthcoming from specific Division Directors, teachers, and activity directors regarding other adjustments necessitated by the changes above. Once you have received that information, please do not hesitate to contact us if you have other questions about specific activities or other implications caused by the changes to the schedule.
Sincerely, Ray Quesnel
