Congratulations to our Elementary Education program for receiving an A rating from NCTQ! ✨

Our undergraduate elementary teacher preparation program recently earned an “A” letter grade from the National Council on Teacher Quality! ✨

NCTQ’s annual report measures how well programs across the country prepare future educators to teach reading to elementary students. This A grade recognizes our program’s success in preparing aspiring teachers across five key components of scientifically based reading instruction.

Students in the Developmental Literacy and Intro to Dyslexia classes, led by faculty member Natalie Edwards, went to visit and were given a presentation and tour of the building by staff at the Nelms Dyslexia Center. Special thanks to Jacquelyn Scalf for coordinating this trip for our students!
