Hosted by: Natural State Burial Association, a non-profit group founded to promote ecologically friendly green burial and to inform Arkansans on a wide range of issues related to death and dying.

Our next hurdle for obtaining the Sanctuary Cemetery permit is a hearing before the full Washington County Quorum Court. There were some public comments against the cemetery at the planning board, so we are asking people to contact their county representatives before noon on Thursday and express their support. State's First Natural Burial Ground Approved by Washington County Planners Washington County Planning Board last night approved plans for a proposed 10-acre natural burial ground. Ozark Sanctuary Cemetery would be located in
