We’ve been observing a lot of monarchs on our milkweed in the garden. If you don’t have plans today, go check out the Monarch Festival at Luther George Park in Springdale from 11-4!!

The Monarch Flight Festival is happening tomorrow — Saturday, September 19 — at Luther George Park in Springdale!

Come spend the day with us and experience the wonder of monarchs up close. Step inside our enclosed monarch tent where you can see the entire life cycle — eggs, caterpillars, chrysalises and beautiful adult monarchs.

🦋 AND FOR THE KIDS — WE’LL HAVE 1,000 MONARCH WINGS!
Kids can put on their own monarch wings and become a butterfly for the day! Available while supplies last, so come early!

🌿 Learn about monarchs, native plants and what YOU can do to help create habitat right here in the Ozarks. You’ll also get a chance to meet Marty “Mr. Monarch” Powers and ask your monarch questions.

Standing tall and proud, our very own Asbell Roadrunners kicked off the Natural’s Baseball Game last night by singing the National Anthem. They were led by our wonderful music teacher, Mrs. Pittman. Well done, Asbel!! 💛🇺🇸⚾️🎶💚

What a great first two weeks at Asbell! We kicked things off with an amazing first day, including a special visit from BIG RED! (Woo Pig Sooie 🐗❤️) Since then, our Roadrunners have been building friendships, learning what it means to MOVE, enjoying our new playground when the Arkansas heat allows, and settling into classrooms full of growth and learning. We’re off to a joyful start and ready to keep MOVING FORWARD! 💚🤍💛

Mr. Young, the librarian at McNair Middle School, is hitting the road and bringing the Summer Book Club to Washington Plaza Apartments. Look for the tiny school bus.

Books are available for students of all ages, from elementary through middle school.
