It’s a guitar kinda day

Just a little modification and attitude adjustment on the Gibson Gold Top. The cream rings and chip are standard, but I prefer the black and gold touch with its natural relic look. And of course, we need a ‘Les Paul/More Paul’ chip to give it some ‘tude!
Little things can go a long way when it comes to making a guitar all it can be!

Local guys- if you’re looking for a cool guitar that makes a statement, check out this Les Paul ‘Menace’. Blacked out, with a unique Knuckle Sandwich fret marker and tattoo logo. I love the clear pickups, the unique TRC, and grooves along the sides and bridge. Come check it out and say hello! And grab a new set of strings, they need changed!!

One more new friend for my birthday- I traded two guitars for it, so Cathy can’t complain too much.
Check out this Epiphone Peter Frampton Phenix 3 pickup Les Paul Black Beauty.
This guitar has been on my ‘need one’ list for decades. I’m thrilled to finally add it to the collection.
Do you feel like I do? Cause Baby, I love your way.
Signed, sealed, delivered, it’s mine.

Just learned another of my many Khmer nicknames-
Dakita - short for ‘Doctor Guitar’
Earlier today a young boy called me. ‘MopMop’. Ask your Khmer friend what that means.😂

I'se The B'y - Great Big Sea - Lyrics , 07/16/2024

You’ve heard this song in that commercial, and thought to yourself, ‘What in the heck are they singing?’
Wonder no longer. Enjoy ‘I’se the B’y’.
It is very catchy. We should do a rock version.

This Takes The Cake 06/29/2024

I’m truly saddened to read of the death of one of my favorite comedian musicians, the great Martin Mull. It was hard to pick a favorite song to share in memoriam with so many classics like ‘Deuling Tubas’, but I picked this not quite safe for kids song dealing with some of the finer places we musicians find ourselves in.
If you’re a musician, please share and enjoy this great memory. Guy, we should knock this one out when I get back.

Here’s a little ditty I call ‘Tuk Tuk in the Rain’
It goes like this….

‘Try to stay dry
You ain’t
Tuktuk in the rain.
94 minutes to go 8 miles
The rain makes it cooler
But it doesn’t much help the smell
Stopping for $2 of gas
Tuktuk in the rain

Steven Seagal - Strut lyrics Lady Saw OFFICAL LYRICS 05/25/2024

I really hate to do this but feel a musical obligation.
There is a song worse than The Shagg’s ‘Foot Foot. ‘
There is a song worse than Yoko Ono screaming ‘Why’.
There is a song worse than David Hasselhoff’s ‘Jump in My Car’
There is a:song worse then Eilert Pilarm doing Swedish Elvis karaoke.

The karate movie star Steven Seagal is actually a mediocre musician. But this abomination of a Jamaican accented rap song is, until proven otherwise, the very worst song I know.
I dare you to prove otherwise.
