Have a seat! Razorback Transit has partnered with Ozark Regional Transit, the City of Fayetteville, NWA Bench and other community partners to install some new-and-improved benches at bus stops around town!
This initiative is another step forward in making the community's public transit more accessible and more comfortable for our riders.
Projects like this show whatβs possible when organizations, volunteers, and community members work together to support transit and strengthen connections across Northwest Arkansas. Thank you to everyone who helped make these improvements possible!

The University of Arkansas boasts one of the most unique traditions found on any campus: Senior Walk. π
Senior Walk consists of miles of campus sidewalks engraved with the names of graduates dating back to the first graduating class in 1876.
The University Facilities Management team has inscribed over 200,000 Arkansas alumni names and is in the process of adding the class of 2024 to that list.

Facilities Management, Sustainability and Razorback Transit are helping create greener ways to live, work and move around campus. A few ways the U of A is supporting a more sustainable future include:
π Sustainable transportation: choosing to walk, bike, ride Razorback Transit, or use scooters are all great ways to reduce emissions and navigate campus responsibly.
βοΈ Renewable energy: the U of A has pledged to achieve carbon neutrality by 2040. One step toward that goal is implementing renewable energy solutions, including the new solar energy project being established across the UA System this year.
β»οΈ Zero-waste initiatives: the U of A is committed to becoming a zero-waste institution by 2040, and recycling plays a major role in getting there. Do your part by recycling whenever you can!
π³ Campus trees: with around 10,000 trees across campus, the U of A benefits from improved air quality, cooling shade, biodiversity, water conservation and more.
Join us in celebrating World Environment Day by finding one small way to support a healthier planet β whether thatβs hopping on the bus, recycling, or spending some time appreciating the beauty of campus.
