Our Story

Facilities and Equipment The school occupies a floor space of over 5600 square feet. The building has one level which contain a reception area, senior clinic, dispensary, two rest rooms, basics and junior departments (classrooms), aesthetics department, manicuring department, a student library and an office. The school is equipped with student stations, shampoo bowls, sterilizers, manicuring tables and stock mannequins, dryers, lockers for each student and is handicap accessible. Admission Requirements The Hair Academy admits as regular students: 1. High School graduates 2. Holders of high school general equivalency certificate The State Board of Cosmetology requires these additional items submitted prior to the beginning of training: Proof of age Proof of education Completed application. Transfer Students Transfer students will receive credit for hours completed at other accredited schools as regulated by Tennessee Board of Cosmetology under the state law. Such approved school hours will be credited and the student's course of study shortened. Tuition will be adjusted accordingly. State Board Examination Each student who successfully completes our Basic Cosmetology, Manicuring, Aesthetics or Teacher Training Course will then be issued the necessary forms to file for th State Board Examination. These exams are held daily. Upon successful completion of this exam, a State License will be issued. School Salon open to the public - All salon services are performed by students under the supervision of licensed instructors.
